There she was a software application trainer for SQL, J2ME, and Oracle. In 2012 Ghazal started a diet planning website named “dietexpert.com”. The main work of this platform is to provide customized diet plans based on the person’s age, lifestyle, blood groups, and more.

This website got a lot of love from its thousands of users. Ghazal’s career also includes her passion towards art as she used to sell her paintings. She used to sell them both nationally and internationally. Ghazal’s love for art also motivated her to start her own small art school named “Being Artsy”. The main reason for starting of Mamaearth was due to the personal necessity of Ghazal and her husband. The couple welcomed their first child in 2014 and when her child got sick, she was not able to find any toxin free medicine for him. She and her husband faced a lot of difficulties finding medicines that were safe for their child which made them find a gap in the baby care market. There was a shortage of baby care products that were free of toxins. And this led to them starting Mamaearth. 

The brand initially started with the focus on toxin free baby care products, but later under the leadership of Ghazal the company expanded further in the market with covering products like skincare and haircare.  She started the brand with an initial investment of Rs 90 lakhs and it is said that the brand currently holds a net valuation of Rs. 9800 crore as of latest reports. Mamaearth was India’s first ever “Made Safe” certified brand. In 2019, famous Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty invested in Mamaearth and even appears in the brand’s advertisements.
